1st step

You’ll need to edit your theme to remove the Powered by Shopify branding. To do this, go to the online shop in the admin, where you can see your current theme. Under Actions, you have to click on Edit Languages. So, in summary:

Shopify admin area → Online Shop → News Theme → Actions → Edit Languages→ Use the Search translations box→ Go to the Powered by Shopify box and delete the text→ Save it.

2nd step

To avoid searching forever for where the branding can be removed, there is the practical filter function. Enter the search term powered in the filter or search bar; then Powered by Shopify appears:

Now click on the line Powered by Shopify and press the space bar. Shopify, the branding will be removed and will no longer appear in your shop. Then, remember to click on Save to apply the changes.

If your shop is still under construction and is yet to be live, but the shop domain is called up, a message will appear that Shopify will soon operate the shop. If you want to remove this, too. You have to delete the text in the line located directly under Powered by Shopify. And that was about it. As mentioned earlier, there are good reasons for removing the branding. Here, you can manage how the customer pays for your products.

In Payments, you will find the information on surcharges for using the credit card and the transaction fee (which will depend on the plan you have chosen) and the option to activate PayPal, Amazon Pay, external payment providers, alternative payment methods, and manual payment methods.

On the Payment screen, you can configure the entire payment gateway process: Do you want the customer to have to create an account on your website? Can you register as a visitor? Will they add their phone for payments, or is email enough? What do you want them to fill in the payment form? And many other configuration options so you can customize your payment process.

Users and permissions:

Whether you work with a team or if you work with a marketing agency, this tab may be helpful for you since, from here, you can manage the permissions you give to other users.

Sales channels:

Here, you can choose if you want to sell your products only in your online store or if you want to expand your reach and increase your sales with sales channels, such as Google Shopping, Facebook, Pinterest, or others.

When you sign up for Shopify, you will receive a domain that ends in .myshopify.com. If you want an attractive domain for your customers, you can buy it from Shopify for different prices. You have to go to the Domain name generator and write the name you want. You can see if the one you want is available, and if not, how much it would cost you to buy one of its variations.
